Building Bonds: The Impact of Partner's Club

 

The Partner's Club is a Putnam County High School initiative that focuses on fostering inclusion and connection among our exceptional students and their peers through various sports and social activities. Each month, the club organizes visits to nearby schools where members engage in sports like basketball, footgolf, bocce, ultimate football, and wiffle ball. They also host kickball games at their high school. The club is designed to promote inclusivity by ensuring that each team is composed of both partners and special education students, allowing for collaboration and camaraderie. To strengthen these bonds, club members share lunch together once a month. Furthermore, the Partners Club plays a supportive role in the War Eagle Games by assisting special education students, ensuring they are present at their events and cheering them on, thereby creating an encouraging and unified environment.

 

The impact of the Partner's Club extends beyond just sports and games; it creates lasting friendships and understanding among students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Through these shared experiences, students learn the value of empathy, teamwork, and acceptance, which are essential life skills that will benefit them well beyond their school years.
